AstraZeneca Switzerland is the Swiss affiliate of AstraZeneca PLC, a UK-Swedish pharmaceutical company. The company has operated in Switzerland since 1976 and since 1999 has been based in the Canton of Zug.
Our core business is the development and marketing of medicines. Currently, over 275,000 people are under treatment with an AstraZeneca medicinal product in Switzerland. By 2028, we anticipate that 40 new therapies will receive authorisation. We constantly endeavour to do our part to make the Swiss healthcare system more sustainable, robust and ready to meet the challenges of the future. With this goal in mind, we are working - far beyond the scope of our core business - with various stakeholders.
