Florian Saur from AstraZeneca elected to the Interpharma Board of Directors

AstraZeneca Switzerland is pleased to announce that its Country President, Florian Saur, has joined the Board of Interpharma. His election emphasises AstraZeneca's commitment to Switzerland as a pharmaceutical location and its close cooperation with the industry association.

As one of the world's leading companies in pharmaceutical research and development, AstraZeneca is committed to ensuring that all patients have access to innovative therapies as quickly as possible. On the Interpharma Board, Florian Saur aims to make an active contribution to the successful development of a more sustainable and resilient healthcare system. His election is the result of a trusting collaboration with the industry association and he comments as follows:

AstraZeneca plans over 35 new therapies between 2025 and 2027 

Thanks to investments in research and development, pharmaceutical companies are helping to improve healthcare worldwide. In Switzerland, AstraZeneca focuses on clinical research. The focus here is on investigating medical treatments and therapies for patients in order to test their efficacy and safety as well as the benefits of new medical innovations. 

In 2023, AstraZeneca invested around CHF 6 million in clinical research in Switzerland. Between 2025 and 2027, the company plans to make over 35 new therapies available to patients in Switzerland.
