AstraZeneca Switzerland is pleased to announce Adam Nosal as its new Head of Oncology, starting 17 June 2024. Nosal has a distinguished track record in oncology and will take over from Alison Dziarmaga.
Adam Nosal brings broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and since joining AstraZeneca in 2018, he drove significant advancements in market access, commercial leadership and strategic launches for critical cancer therapies. Most recently, he led the Business Franchise for Breast Cancer across the markets in Europe and Canada.
Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Nosal held several key roles at Novartis, such as Global Access Director for a blockbuster drug, in the USA. A graduate of Università Commerciale 'Luigi Bocconi' in Italy, he holds a Master of Science in Management and Economics of International Markets and New Technologies, supplementing his education with specialized training in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the Vienna School of Clinical Research.
A Bold Vision for Oncology
Adam Nosal's leadership comes at a pivotal time when AstraZeneca Switzerland is intensifying its efforts to combat cancer. «The challenge is great, with around 43,000 Swiss residents diagnosed with cancer annually. Our goal is ambitious but clear: to combat this disease and to pursue the elimination of cancer as a cause of death,» Nosal states. «Within the next three years, AstraZeneca is on track to bring 35 new therapies to patients in Switzerland, many targeting various forms of cancer. This reflects our deep commitment to patient care and the advancement of medical science.»
As the new Head of Oncology, Adam Nosal will lead AstraZeneca Switzerland's strategic efforts to deliver innovative cancer treatments as fast as possible, reinforcing the company's position at the forefront of oncology medicines.
